What is walking football?

Walking Football (Soccer) is a more relaxed and slower-paced version of world football, designed to be light, social, and enjoyable for both men and women. It’s an accessible way to stay active, with no prior football experience needed, and beginners are warmly welcomed. Walking Football caters for individuals with a focus on Men and Women aged over 55 years.
Matches are played with modified formats,  5 or 6 players versus 5 or 6 players on smaller pitches, mostly indoors with short durations of 20 minutes a game. It is a non contact sport, running is not allowed, ball cannot be kicked above hip height. The main focus is to have Fun, make Friends, Stay Active and Keep fit.
