Keep on Walking: How "Parky Soccer" is changing lives at Caulfield Park
For over six years, MACCABI FC Caulfield has been the proud home of Walking Football at Caulfield Park. What started as a regular community program took on a powerful new purpose, thanks to one of our most dedicated players-a sprightly gentleman living with Parkinson's Disease. driven by his vision to share the joy of game with others facing similar challenges. PARKY was born.
A Community without labels
Every Saturday morning, the pitch comes alive with a unique energy. Parky Soccer isn't just for those with Parkinson's, it's a vibrant, self managed collective of players of all ages, genders and abilities. Whether you are a "fully abled" regular or managing the daily realities of Parkinson's, the goal remains the same. Health, community and a shared love for the sport.
The beauty of this group lies in the spirit:
Inclusion: A mix of regular Walking Footballers and newcomers.
Support: MFCC is committed to keeping costs as low as possible, ensuring the game remains to everyone.
Connection: Beyond the exercise, it's the space to share a laugh, find support and celebrate every goal.
